The Women’s Diplomatic Series was founded in the fall of 2009 to encourage women to become better global citizens through exposure to Washington's distinguished diplomatic community.
The Women’s Diplomatic Series is an invitation-only membership organization that seeks to improve the understanding that "the world is one place" and to gain special access to the magnificent embassies and official residences that grace our city. As a member of WDS, we have the opportunity each month to visit various embassies and official residences, the State Department and Blair House and expand our knowledge about the world's countries. The group will offer morning coffees, afternoon teas, luncheons, cooking demonstrations, evening receptions and dinners and other special events.
Join WDS for a unique magic carpet ride around the globe!
Washington, D.C. has so much to offer. One of the most important things to recognize about our city is the value of the cultural influences of the many diplomats who live here as our neighbors. Through the Womens Diplomatic Series we have the chance not only to learn more about the countries our diplomatic friends are from, but also to gain a new perspective of our own city and our country through their eyes.
